Powerpoint How to Make Lines Not on Grid
Turn Off or Disable PowerPoint's Snap to Grid

When you motility an object on a PowerPoint slide, the object will ordinarily snap to an invisible grid by default. This can be irritating so yous may want to temporarily override the snap to grid behavior or turn off snap to grid permanently.

Temporarily override snap to grid using Alt
To motion an object and temporarily override "snap to" settings, simply press Alt while dragging the object. Ensure that y'all are dragging the object by a edge, non a handle.
This Alt + elevate trick as well works in combination with the Ctrl primal when dragging and so if you printing Alt + Ctrl and elevate an object, a not-snapping copy of the selected object will exist created.
Temporarily override snap to grid past nudging
If you select an object and so press Ctrl + an arrow primal, the object will be nudged in the direction of the arrow and will non snap to grid.
Permanently plough off snap to grid
You lot can turn off snap to filigree permanently for a presentation using the Filigree and Guides dialog box:
- Click the View tab in the Ribbon.
- In the Show group, click the dialog box launcher on the bottom right corner of the grouping. A dialog box appears. Alternatively, you lot can right-click in a slide and select Grid and Guides from the context menu.
- Uncheck Snap objects to grid. If yous click Set as Default, snap to filigree will exist turned off for all presentations. Otherwise, snap to filigree will exist turned off only for the current presentation.
- Click OK.
